Daunne Zinger
Teacher/Choreographer
Daunne Zinger started dancing at age eight, taking classes in ballet and jazz at Colorado College in her hometown of Colorado Springs, CO. She obtained a BA degree in Dance from the University of Washington in 2011, specializing in Integrated and Classic Jazz dance.
Daunne is a recognized advocate, teacher and lecturer of the “Luigi” Jazz dance technique and studied directly with him for eight years. She has presented jazz dance master classes and workshop nationally and throughout the Pacific Northwest as a way to preserve this technique for future generations.
Currently, Daunne teaches “Luigi” jazz and Easy Stretch/Easy Dance classes at Island Dance and is a popular, long time choreographer for local musical theater productions. Daunne also she teaches line dancing, weekly senior fall prevention classes and water aerobics at various locations on Whidbey Island.
